Spring awakens. The underground blooms. 57 emerges from hibernation.

After a winter of creative incubation, 57 emerges with its most anticipated event of the year - the birth of 57 RECORDS, unveiled in one of NYC’s most impressive immersive venues: HERO NYC

Step into the same remarkable space where The Weeknd recently celebrated his album release - now transformed to showcase 57 artist-in-residence HWIN’s debut EP “Just Like a Flower,” coming out March 21st. This thoughtfully chosen venue perfectly complements the culmination of 57’s five-year community-building journey.

We're thrilled to announce the full lineup: HWIN (57 Records, Rose Ave) will be joined by 57 DJs-in-residence Tim Wood and Doug Desmond, with special guest DJ illich Mujica (Around Midnight, Amaya) closing out the night!

THE VENUE: 360° IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE

HERO NYC offers a rare immersive experience where light and sound surround you in 360° environments. Towering LED walls create atmospheres that transport you beyond ordinary space. This technical marvel now becomes our canvas for the night.

THE MOMENT: 57’S SPRING REVIVAL

Like the first bloom after winter, this event marks 57’s return and evolution. We’ve been creating and building through the quiet months. Now as spring arrives, we emerge renewed - a creative community that has grown into a cultural platform with 57 RECORDS as its heart.

THE EXPERIENCE

  • Immersive audiovisual journey across HERO’s impressive LED environments

  • Extended DJ sets from HWIN, special guest illich Mujica (Around Midnight, Amaya), and 57 DJs-in-Residence Tim Wood & Doug Desmond

  • Custom visual installations designed for the EP release

  • Witness music shaped by our community, tested and refined through countless nights together

  • Dance late into the night in one of NYC’s most advanced immersive spaces

  • The season opener for 57’s most ambitious year yet

This marks the beginning of a new chapter for 57 - where our community’s creativity expands into something we’ve been working toward for years. The hibernation ends. The celebration begins.

HWIN - "Just Like a Flower" EP

Image

Oozy, yet propulsive. Intimate, yet anthemic. Hwin’s debut solo EP “Just Like a Flower” blooms with beautiful contradictions, a collision of contrasts.

Drawing from rock to electronica, folk to techno, “Just Like a Flower” refracts Hwin’s diverse styles through the prism of his past, converging into a singular voice that’s distinctly his, sultry and tender.

The result, as heard on his debut EP, is music that’s as introspective as it is explosive, as nostalgic as it is forward-looking. It’s an invitation to leave for the club—and an invocation to stay in your feels.

---

"Just Like a Flower" is the debut EP of Johnny Hwin—singer/songwriter/producer of the band Cathedrals, which the New York Times describes as "synthetic R&B with 1980s rock swagger,"—and follows debut single Metropolis Heights, released on Rose Avenue Records last year.

With Cathedrals, Hwin's productions have garnered over 60M+ streams, press hits in Billboard, VICE, SPIN, Fader, and Paste Magazine's "Best of What's Next"—in addition to major syncs including Amazon Prime's Jack Ryan, Marvel's Cloak and Dagger, and Netflix's Fistful of Vengeance. This year, Hwin will be releasing his solo record, a blend of emotive, melodic house and techno influenced electronica combined with his signature evocative, indie-influenced vocals and songwriting.

HERO NYC – Where Music Meets Immersion

Image

Nestled beneath the iconic Rockefeller Center, HERO NYC isn’t just a venue—it’s a 17,000-square-foot immersive experience where cutting-edge sound, visionary visuals, and unforgettable moments collide. Once a historic post office, now reimagined as a state-of-the-art event space, HERO blends massive LED displays, a Bose-engineered sound system with nearly 120 speakers, and a dynamic, modular layout to create an atmosphere unlike any other.

Recently, The Weeknd hosted his album release party here, taking full advantage of HERO’s ability to merge music, visuals, and atmosphere into something cinematic. Now, this space is set to host another milestone moment.
