Friends, join us Thursday July 27th for the next FAM—a salon for artists & creators in film, fashion, art, music, and media.

This month we’re featuring Richie Weeks, a NYC-based dance music producer whose work in the “post-disco” early 80s set the table for the emergence of house and hip hop. His successful copyright fight along with Past Due label boss Jerome Derradji against the major German label which owned his catalog prompted filmmaker Celia Aniskovich to create a new documentary exposing the large music industry conglomerates systemically ripping off pioneering producers like Richie for decades. DJ and Manjumasi label head Atish is the film's composer and executive producer, alongside executive producer Raekwon from the Wutang Clan. Read more about the film in a recent Variety article here

We'll have the fireside chat at 8:30pm with musical guest Miette Hope to follow, and a bevy of beverages for your enjoyment.

Hosted at 57, our loft & recording studio in Williamsburg, FAM aims to bring together friends in the creative industries for an intimate evening of conversation, connection, and community. Hope to see you there.
