Friends, we're thrilled to present an extra special edition of our salon: our guest, Shal Ngo, will have his new film premiering on Hulu the SAME day as our event!
Thursday, March 13th, join us at FAM—a salon for artists & creators in film, fashion, art, music, and media—for an intimate conversation with award-winning filmmaker Shal Ngo on this milestone day, as his thrilling new body horror film "Control Freak" debuts on Hulu. This unique timing gives the exclusive opportunity to discuss the film with its creator immediately following its release!
Shal Ngo is a genre-bending director and award winning filmmaker whose work spans horror, sci-fi, and compelling documentaries. From his Tribeca-premiered sci-fi film "The Last Fisherman" to his powerful documentary "The Box" about solitary confinement, Shal creates visually striking narratives that challenge audiences. His latest feature "The Park," a post-apocalyptic coming-of-age story, earned him Best Director at Newport Beach Film Festival, while his upcoming body horror thriller "Control Freak" starring Kelly Marie Tran arrives on Hulu in 2025.
🎸 Before the talk, we'll experience an electrifying performance by DUUNES, Harrison Cohen's alternative rock project that captures NYC's restless energy with raw vocals and driving rhythms. With his debut EP "Vacation From Myself," earning spots on Spotify's editorial playlists and a viral cover that garnered over 25 million views, DUUNES delivers powerful stage presence and arena-worthy sound that evokes The Killers and Kings of Leon while remaining distinctly his own.
